Mentoring

What is a Mentor?

A Mentor is a companion, a friend, a guide, and an advisor to a child.

Mentoring Activities:

• Tutoring
• Mentoring
• Recreational Activities
• Community Involvement

Mentor Qualifications:

• Good Reputation
• At least 21 years of age
• No criminal history
• Be able to devote 1 hour each week to a 3rd through 8th grade child for 1 year

All persons selected as mentors will receive training from persons who have been involved in mentoring projects in the past. The initial training will be at least 3 hours, with periodic training sessions offered throughout the year.
